Dwarf Hinoari Dragons were released on the 18th August, 2013. Despite their eggs being surrounded by will-o'-the-wisps, the dragons themselves don't have any around them, nor are they mentioned in the hatchling or adult description. According to Nue, this is because the wisps are attracted by the unbonded Hinoari in the egg, but once it hatches and starts seeking a living bond, the wisps lose interest.

Dwarf Hinoari Dragons almost always attack their prey too early, their impulsive natures driving them to chase after their chosen victims without strategy, often ending with them scurrying back to their lairs emptyhanded. However, these carnivores rarely lack for fresh meat to fill their appetites. Soon after cracking out of their shells, Dwarf Hinoari Dragons stumble into the vastness of the big, big world and often also into the presence of big, big dragons. Instinct compels them to imprint on another creature and protect them until one of them dies. Their quick reactions, both in body and mind, make them effective defenders. Because of this, most other creatures consider their presence beneficial and allow them to remain, even sharing their kills with the small dragons.
